I was contacted through a message on Linkedin that I had an impressive background and that they are looking to hire someone with my background and skills. Then they asked me to send my resume to [email protected]. I did as instructed and set them my resume. A day or two later, I received a text from someone named David that their recruitment team viewed my resume and i was shortlisted for an interview. He told me that I would need to download an app called google hangouts and to start a conversation with Mr. Hillary Barry email is [email protected]. I did as they asked and began an "interview" with Mr. Barry. We then began the interview process which seemed completely normal. They asked normal interview questions. After that, they asked me to hang on for a few minutes while they spoke with their supervisors. When they came back they told me that i was hired in for the job and that they would pay me $45/hr with a week training at $35/hr. I would need to purchase some computer equipment for the job and they would send me a check and a vendor to get these items from. The items were things that you would use for the job so it seemed legit. They gave me their website, txagent.com and told me to check out the company and all. I then received an email that had a company logo and a statement that I had received the position and what benefits would come with the job and a signature. All seemed very legit. They also included a w-4 and an i-9. I had reservations about sending that information til I called the company's number on the web page. I gave them a call the next morning and found out it was all a scam and they had already done this to 4 other people.
