I received an email this morning with an attached email of an invoice thanking me for an auto renewal membership with Norton anti virus life lock for the amount of $799.99. I called the number in the email if I didn’t authorize the transaction. I guy sounding like from India or somewhere outside of the United States answered the phone. Then asked me if I had a laptop or computer I said no at first then said yes to take note of his reaction then he ashes if I had an iPad….I’m thinking to myself you should know what type of electronic device I paid for the anti virus protection to be on. He then instructed me to get in my laptop and then I hung up. I immediately checked my checking account balance and it didn’t show any pending transactions. The number I called was 1-833-493-9346.
