I was selling the item for $300 on Facebook Marketplace. The scammer contacted me immediately after listing and wanted to buy. He wanted to pay with Zelle and pretended paid $300 then I got notification from Fake-Zelle said “buyer needs to pay additional $200 to upgrade your account to business account. In order to get credited $300 to your account, you need to refund $200 to buyer”

So I tried to pay $200 to scammers but my account didn’t have enough amount that time. So I used different bank account to pay it for but this bank hold this transaction due to security reason.

The scammer kept contacting me so I felt pressure to pay it for as soon as possible. So I decided deposit to my initial account to pay for it. After I deposit the scammer said “pay to different account” then he gave me new Name and email address which is I entered this form. So I immediately paid $200 to this email address. After that I got another notification saying “you need to pay another $300 to get you money to your account” from Fake-Zelle. And I realized it’s a scam.

Next morning, I called to my bank who is holding my transaction and they said it will be cancelled but for some reason this transaction went through after few hours.

So I ended up paid $400

I have claimed both bank especially the one holding initially because they called and emailed me and said they will cancel this transaction.
