Got a call from a very aggressive and angry man with a foreign accent saying my electric service was going to be shut off in one hour. His phone number was a Hollywood, SC prefix 843-890-5545. He said the service interruption was because I owed three months worth of utility bills. Knowing this was not true as I pay my bills on time monthly I gave him a piece of my mind and a load of crap. His call ended abruptly as though someone made him hang up on me.

Individual said they were with Dominion Power and said my electric would soon be distributed. They asked for my address which I gave then they verified my name (they gave it to me first). They said power to be shut off unless I paid $490.00+ in past due fees. When I told them that was impossible since my bill is paid in advance they hung up. My concern is how did they match my name to my address for Dominion electric? I did not provide them with an account number, my social security,mor any password.

SCE&G now Dominion Energy's auto pay "contract" expiration.

You are told auto pay continues to take payments, notify you of approved said payment but holds it hostage in a refund account and DOES NOT apply it to your account. And are asked to confirm the bill amounts already paid.

Field technician calls to say electric will be turned off in 45mins if I don't pay 2 previous month bills and the current bill not due yet.

Told to take $498 cash and buy a voucher from CVS and then call Dominion with receipt voucher.

They will hold your other payments for up to 60 days then refund it to your card.

These guys call you and pretend to be Dominion Electric collections people -- they threaten to turn off your power unless you go to a store and send them a direct cash deposit. Elaborate scam using many people that they transfer you to while you are on the phone with them to try and sound legitimate. I was fooled for awhile.

The guy told me after I cursed him out that they are calling from the Bronx in NY (I accused them of being overseas) -- who knows if that is true.
