I placed an order on Etsy with Claudia Stout (@DistractedByNature) on July 14, 2020 which was suppost to be shipped by July 21, 2020 (in her policies it states that the item will be shipped in 4-7 days of purchasing the item). On July 23, 2020 I recieved a message from her stating that there was something wrong with my address and she could not ship the item (2 days after it was promised to be shipped by) I gave her my address again and I would like to mention that my address autofills when I purchase an item through Etsy and I bought multiple items with that address in the past. On July 23, 2020 I messaged Claudia asking if everything was alright and if the package had been shipped yet. A few hours later on that day after not receiving a response, messaged her on Instagram that she still to this day hasn't opened but claims she has. On July 28, 2020 two weeks after placing my order and Claudia going radio silent, opened a case with Etsy. Coincidentally, Claudia responded to the case not even 2 hours after I had opened it saying that she had recieved on my messages (but never opened them ??) and was renovating her house and that I was being impatient (even though I had no clue what was going on in her life, I was just suppost to know I guess) but she could send it out soon. At that point, I was sick of this women's attitude towards me, her customer and just wanted a refund. After I asked for a refund she stopped responding again but thanks to me opening the case, she was forced to give me one on July 29, 2020. Fast forward 3 months to yesterday, I realized I never left a review on her Etsy shop and wanted to see if other people had left reviews. As it turns out, someone had, this women named Shawna. Shawna had left a review saying that she had never recieved her item (a $20 Colorado flag beanie) and was very disapointed. See this, I realized that this wasn't a one time occurrence and Claudia had scammed another lady as well. I reached out to Shawna telling her all about my experience with buying an item from the Etsy shop and what to do if she would like to get her money back. After reaching out to I women I left my review on Claudia's Etsy page stating to not buy from her buisness because she tried to scam me. A few minutes after writing the review, I recieved a very passive aggressive message from Claudia mad about what I wrote in my review (all true facts that can all be backed up with evidence). I replied stating that I didn't write the review because of what happened to me but because I found out she is doing it to other people and she is taking advantage of people who want to support a small buisness- the whole purpose of Etsy. After my message, we texted back-and-forth of her trying to defend herself by saying lies and me reminding her we wouldn't be in this mess if she didn't try to scam me and did scam others. Another thing I noticed when looking further into her reviews is that most of them are done by the same people and when one of them write a review, you can find 2 or 3 reviews that person made on the same product. My purpose for writing all of this is to get her shop taken down. I have contacted Etsy but they aren't helping me. I just want to make sure other people aren't treated or scammed by Claudia, the way I was. Thank you for reading, I appreciate it.
