Person called from a 216 413 3582 number. I was told to click one if I was the person whose phone it belonged to. I was to click two if it was not my name. I clicked one and nothing happened. It was soon disconnected. I called back and the person sounded like a Black male, His name was Dontay Davis, as given to me. He told me I had a medical bill from New Jersey and it was 700 dollars. We talked for almost 15 minutes. He at one point said he was from New Jersey He said this happened to him last year. He said doctors bills occur, but usually get sent straight to collections. He said when it happened to him he just paid it off right away. He listed the last four of what sounded like my social. He mentioned my home address. He was very brash and rushing me to pay off the bill. He told me medical bills do not leave a credit report. He continued to tell me regardless of where I was seen if I had this bill with my name on it and information than I was the one to pay off the debt. He then asked me very directly so what you gone do? Then said I dont mean to sound rude, but this bill needs to be taken care of. I can reduce the amount to 400 something if you pay right now. I told him I was not paying anything. He continued on telling me that I have to pay. He could mediate the claim and send me further information on what the bill was about, but it would take three months. He said it would not be in his office for long and he may not be the person dealing with my account at that time. The voice recording before he answered said Discovery Solutions. He said he was based in South Carolina. He then told me that they have offices all over that is why he called from an Ohio number. He gave me a 844 305 8660 number should I decide I just want to pay it off I could reach him directly.
