The scammer called and said that I have to put money on certain money cards so he can protect my Discover account. He said that someone overseas purchased $6,000 on my Discover card. With my credit limit I need to purchased 10 $500 money cards so it will protect him from getting the his purchase approved. I have two phone numbers he used:1-5084567459 and 440-426-4880.

Received a letter with a fake reimbursement check with the Discover logo and information. The letter stated that the account adjustment was related to late fee and interest. I don't have an account with Discover.

I got a call from a man who said he was with Discover Card and told me that they could lower my interest rates if I just verified my account #s by giving them to him. He said his name was Jason Davis.He gave an ID # of SZ1029. I started asking for more information after I had already given him the account #s to my banks but Jason wouldn't give me any information. He transferred me to a supervisor who wouldn't give me information either and instead started threatening me and telling me he was going to charge my account for $5000 charges. I told him I was going to call the BBB and then hung up.

I received multiple phone calls from "Tiffany at Discover" saying to call 800-347-4918 right away. I ignored it, but after 3 weeks of phone calls, I called the number. First it asked for my Discover card number then my 9-digit social security number... at that I hung up and called the customer service number on my Discover card. They said there was nothing in their data related to that phone number. The representative changed my profile to exclude any merchandising contact..leaving only if the call was about my account. He suggested I contact the ScamPulse.com to report all this so you would have documentation of the phone number in question. I have not seen any problems with my credit yet. By hanging up on the call to that number, I hope nothing will negatively result.

Received a call from David Myer stating he was a Lawyer and I will be receiving a check for $15,000.00. Within a couple of days received a blank check with Discover Logo on it and an address P.O. Box 590281590 Orlando, FL. Wanted wife to fill out check for $2,910.01 and mail it to the address on the check.

Do NOT GIVE THESE SCAMMERS ANY INFORMATION they claim they are Discover collection. I reported them to the real Discover. They call you from a spoofed 800 discover number and are asking you for 16 digit account informatiom, but they leave you a voicemail tell you to call 18006784765 instead.

This person called me and said they were with my credit card company. He called to say that they were going to reduce my interest rate because I have been keeping up with my payments. He asked for my card number and last four of my social security number. I was dumb and gave it to him. Thankfully, i thought about it afterwards and I froze my account immediately. I called Discover and they confirmed it wasn't them and they were going to open a new account for me. I did not get any fradualent transactions because I noticed right away. I hope nobody else gets fooled!
