I was called today by a scammer who knew my credit card payment, the total amount due, and the interest rate for my Discover credit card. He told me that they are doing a promo because I have been very good at my payments, and they are going to give me 0% interest for my next payments. He transferred me to his "manager," who sounded exactly the same as him (same accent - possibly Arabian or a very slight Indian accent, same tone, same cadence of speech) and said his name was Nathan Zabalski (I did not catch the "first" man's name). Before he could ask me for any details about my account, I told him I was at work and would call him back once I was off. He gave me a number to call back, (347) 774-9617, and to ask for Nathan. He also said that the operating hours there were Monday-Friday, 10am-7am EST. I immediately called Discover's customer line and was reassured that it was a scam, but they did not compromise my account.

The caller id said, Paula McCracken. I do not know a soul by that name. The recording said, Hi, this is Amara from Discover.
