Our neighborhood has a Facebook page that is private only to those who live in the neighborhood; a new "neighbor" arrived advertising air duct cleaning and a special rate during the month of October. He told me that the business he worked for was Midwest Duct Dudes. After at least one other neighbor indicated a good experience, I decided to get a quote and we booked an appointment. All communication was via Facebook messenger until I was contacted indicating that there was a new opening for the air duct cleaning via both FB messenger and via text to my cell phone. When the company arrived (at the anticipated time), the workers were in an unmarked van, neither introduced themselves or had name tags or anything, but they got to work and seemed to know what they were doing. It was when it was time to pay that I realized that the receipt had a different company name (Dirt Out Duct Cleaning Inc). The guy would only take cash or Zelle. After the guys left, none of the previous contacts would respond to my texts or requests for additional information. (https://dirtoutductcleaning.com)  *This company has no address on its website. Only "Glendale Heights IL" and a Chicago phone number. No info on BBB.org.
