I received a call from the individual that said they represented the tech support of DIRECTV. And the DIRECTV was updating their systems satellites so that you would not lose your signal during a thunderstorm. I was reluctantly at first but they said I would lose my signal if I didn't do the upgrade. I was told the upgrade would cost $199 and would be replaced after six months and that my bill would decrease by $30 each much. He said if I had any issues with it to give him a call back. He had my account number my credit card last four digits and he just needed me to verify my card number. I was very reluctant but he insisted that everything was legit. After giving him the information he told me to turn off my TV and wait five minutes and restart it and the picture would be much sharper and clearer. After doing so it really was. So I figured it was legit. I checked the bank to see if the money had pulled out and it had, He told me the service name would be Justice Tool LLC but the name that showed was Quick Dimpler Amery. I called him back to let him know and he had me to speak to a supervisor that told me they were the same company and my card would not be charged only the one time and I would be getting a refund in six months. This happened in September. The bill I received for October and November were not $30 less. I called Alex Morrison today at the number he gave me and told him and he said maybe it was because I hadn't been charged yet. I told him I had and that I was going to report them as fraudulent. He hung up on me.

Frank Morris was name scammer used to identify himself and requested the victim call 8177175363. The victim called the number from a different phone and the scammer answered and identified him as Frank Morris.

The victim called their directtv service and verified that they had not contacted them regarding their account.

Scammer stated that he could give us discounts as ours was expiring this month and offered a discounted rate and asked for a fee of 149.00. I told him no and that I would cancel and he stated no you aren't. Directtv verified their account was up to date and they would not contact a customer in that manner and advised to report the incident.

The caller was a female who transferred the call to a male who knew our direct tv account info and we provided our 4 digit code. Both callers had a thick foreign accent. The callers seemed to be indoors with a poor phone connection (crackling noises).

I told the scammers I was going to report them and we hung up.
