I was called by someone claiming to be a direct tv representative. They knew how much I paid for my monthly service and and offered to reduce my bill in half due to a partnership with eBay. I had to pay the first four months ($360 total) using eBay gift cards. I knew it was too good to be true, but they knew exactly what my cable package included. After I gave them the eBay card #s, I received another text that said 50-60 eBay cards weren't processed due to a system crash so I needed to get two more cards. Due to my troubles they were going to FedEx me a $500 cashiers check if I gave them another $360. I called them back and informed them I knew it was a scam and they laughed and said oh no, we took your money.
