I received a call from this company saying they were Direct Mediation. My former employer as well as my family all received the same phone calls saying that I had a suit filed against my name and she wanted to verify my birthday and social security number. When I refused to verify them I got hung up on.

My family member got a call on her company cell phone claiming that she was listed as a contact for me in connection with 2 civil complaints against me. They even gave her a case number. First off, I've never been served any papers and someone is always home at my house. Second, my last name is different than hers. Third, we don't live in the same house. Fourth, we don't share a cell phone account. Fifth, we are not connected on any social media. Sixth, the phone they called is a company cell phone that's not even in my relative's name. Lastly, I would never give out any number of any of my relatives to anyone. Please be careful of this!

Identified themselves as Direct Mediation. Stated my name came up in a search in relation to a person in my past whom I no longer have contact with. The operator stated they are looking for any info to help them get in contact with said person regarding pending allegations against the person. Upon my stating that I do not know said person, they replied back using my first name. After confirming my name they asked if I am related to said person. How I know them and repeated the question of any info on their whereabouts.

The person was last known to live 18 hours from where I live, but the number they called from was from an area about 30 mins from where I currently live. Very suspicious, in my opinion.
