Direct Job Recruitment Reports & Reviews (2)

I was a victim of Directjobrecruitment.com as they were trying to recruit me for Project Manager job. Her name was Pam and I also talked with Sam, oddly they rythme. They were representing Comcast & Sky UK as an employment recruiter for the companies. Giving out actual company employee names and pretending to be them for recruiting and even interviewing. Direct Job Recruitment said that a requirement for the job was to be a Scrum Master & suggested I enroll in the online class for the exam. They sent me to a Courses Platform company (which has resulted in being FAKE) and http://coursesplatform.com also similar website https://www.learningeschool.com to pay for this Scrum Master Certification (SMC) exam which in-turn sent me to https://www.scrumstudy.com/ . The exam was administered through https://online.vmedu.comThis cost me $950. They messed with the wrong person. DO NOT BE A VICTIM LIKE ME. There are a lot of people around the world posing as recruiters and requiring all sorts of information to either scam money from you for these classes, or to obtain personal information. This exam was a "proctored" exam so I'm sure my computer has been affected as well. I checked out all of these companies and all addresses & phone numbers are FAKE, including the one to Direct Job Recruitment. Please copy and paste this into ever social media you have access to and spread the word.

A recruiter Pam Murphy (claiming to be Senior IT Recruiter for Direct Job Recruitment) called me about a job position at Sky UK. She explained that this position requires SCRUM Master Certification. If I don’t have one, “in- process” of getting it, will be acceptable. When I told her that I don’t have the SCRUM Master certificate and not looking to spend the time and money, unless there’s a commitment from the employer. She replied that they’re running special offers where Sky UK will reimburse me for the training.

She explained that they use the following process:

1. I need to pass first round of phone interview. It’s very tough interview where 90% of people fail. If I pass, then the company will make the commitment and go to the next step, where I’ll need to sign up for a course to show a proof that I’m “in-process” of getting the required certificate.

2. As soon as I sign up and email her the receipt, the reimbursement process will begin and I’ll be qualified to proceed with the second round of interviews.

What actually occurred:

1. I had the first phone interview, which lasted about 10-15 min. A person, who claimed to be “Tony Fang” sounded professional and legit. As per Pam’s comments, I rocked it and was cleared with great compliments and should apply for the certification ASAP, so we can schedule a second round of interviews.

2. Being all excited I’ve followed her instructions. Pam suggested to use their training partner (https://coursesplatform.com) who provides online classes at discounted price and the Sky UK have very good overall experience with them. After doing basic search of the courses site, I signed up.

3. Shortly after, I emailed her the receipt and followed up with a phone call to make sure she has everything to proceed with the next step. She told me that she needed couple days and she’ll get back to me.

4. In couple days I reached out to her and she said that I’m qualified for scheduling the second round of interview. However (here’s where her story changed), she said that I’ll need to pick a date within a week or two, when I’ll be done with the course and have a proof of certification. Her point was that it’s a quick course, which should be easy for me to complete. Then, we’ll have all positive points for qualification and I should rock the second interview.

5. I agreed to schedule the interview within 2 weeks and when I asked what’s the expected timeframe for getting reimbursement check, she replied that I should getting before the 2nd interview.

At this point I started having serious doubts and did a thorough search on them. Granted that Sky UK is legit and reputable company, but I couldn’t find any proof of relationship between Direct Job Recruitment and Sky.

The following are the warning flags that I came across:

1. None of people names I was given (Pam Murphy, Arthur Lopez, Tony Fang) came up in basic search on LinkedIn and whatever was coming back in Google didn’t have anything to do with IT field.

2. http://directjobrecruitment.com/ wasn’t coming up on most popular professional sites like LinkedIn and Glassdoor.

3. At this point I was getting convinced that I might be a victim of fraud and made a final attempt to clear it with BBB. Sure enough, based on all of the info I provided I was told that it’s a fraud.

My conclusion is that Direct Job Recruitment has direct connection with coursesplatform.com and came up with a scam of advertising job positions that don’t exist. Their main goal is to sell the training courses.

At the end of the day, I never heard back from “Pam” and never got my reimbursement check.
