Thank you for your review. The same thing happened to my son as well for a data analyst intern position. Your review really helpful!

If anyone else also receive a similar job offer please be careful!

I am recently applying for jobs and have at least applied to 50+ companies. I received a text one morning from the phone number +1 (657) 210-9221 that read, "Hi (my name), Thanks for your interest in our UI UX Designer Internship position. We'd love to get you in for a quick test. An email has been sent to you. Kindly ensure to follow up as soon as possible. Warm regards, Kyle McClelland." I couldn't remember if I applied to this company, but figured it was one of the companies I applied to. I never received this email Kyle promised, so I immediately texted back with my email address. Kyle immediately texted back saying "The email has just been sent again to your Gmail ID. Kindly check to confirm." I received an email. In the email, they asked me to download the messaging app called Session and to reach out to a recruiter named Massey Sally via her Session code, which was provided in the email (please see attached pictures).

After downloading this encrypted messaging app, I started conversing with Massey who started the interview process right away. She didn't give options to schedule another time for the interview, which I thought was odd. She briefed me on the role and asked me to acknowledge my understanding of the role and what is required. She asked me my name and where I was located, which I answered. However, when I asked specific questions like where they were located, she didn't answer. When asked if a part-time position was available (because that was my preference), she immediately offered a part-time option for the job.

She then went into a "Test Session" and asked me about the UX field and more personal information like what bank I use and if I need a visa to work in the US, to which I answered. (Please see the screenshots attached). The next day, I received an offer letter with more documents to fill out. Though these new documents did not ask for personal account numbers, they did ask for me to sign an employment contract, to provide my address and work history. Please see the screenshots attached. After showing these messages to my partner, he immediately showed me an article about similar job scammers doing this very act I just described. So now I am reporting this company, which I believe is totally fabricated. I located their business on GoogleMaps and called the numbers provided. None of them work or actually get you to someone.
