I applied for a job on indeed, the next morning I woke up to an email from the supposed company asking me to contact one one of their hiring managers on an app called signal messenger. They proceeded to go through a description of the company and then the interview all of text when was all said and done they offered me the job. They then started talking about what I would need for the job and they said the company would pay for everything. It got to the end and they started talking about sending a check. At that point I had already started looking up the company and it made me uneasy so I asked them to just send the supplies needed and they refused and I declined the job offer. Two days later I get a check in the mail for $6,600. The check was sent from *** ***** ***** in Texas, the envelope which says fulfilment center the address comes back to an apartment complex in New York but the company is supposed to be based in Georgia.
