I received one of these postcards in the mail. I called the number and asked the lady what company I called and she said United marketing. When she told me I had to make a one time activation payment to receive the $100 voucher, I said okay and told her that I needed her account number and routing number to her bank... 🤣😂🤣😂 Needless to say she was very confused and didn't say a word for about 2 minutes so I hung up. Even though it's a scam, it's still funny to mess with people sometimes!

The scammer identified me by name. I asked why he was calling. He said that he needed to come and look at my roof Monday & would I be there. I asked him who told him to call me. instead of answering the question, he asked me the age of my roof was it 5 or 6 years old? I told him no, it was only a few months old. And he persisted in trying to make an appointment to come and look at the roof on Monday. Today is Saturday. I asked him again, did my adjuster or insurance company ask you to call me? And he said that my neighbors had reported damage to my roof. Unbeknownst to him though, we are in the house. My roof is not damaged. Our inspector even said that my roof looked fine. When I told him all of this, he said that he had a lot of people to call and He immediately hung up. 15 minutes later, I was unable to contact him because the number had already been disconnected.

These people keep calling and hang up when I answer so u have to call them back and then press numbers or record your voice. Don't know what kind of scam but they don't identify and tie up my phone trying to get my voice recorded. They say on recording when you call back to email "customerservicenow2016.gmail.com". Annoying. Wrong. Intising but it's crooked.

The number reported called me twice, registering a Cincinnati area code. Upon answering I was greeted with an automated message saying they've been trying to get ahold of me for some time now about extending the warranty of my car and this was a final courtesy call. Funny thing is I don't own a car. Promptly hung up, then about a week later they called again with the same automated message. This time when they asked if I'd like to speak to a person I said yes. Further evidence of this being a scam was the message proceeded to list criteria the vehicle would need to fit. Logic being if I had went through them as implied this would be redundant. A human did answer, asking for the make and model. When I asked them to take me off their call list my answer was them hanging up. When I called the number back it acted like a personal home number not a business. Do not give them any information, definitely a scam

Message said I have 4 serious allegations pressed against me. It expires in 24 hours and I will be picked up by local authorities if I don't contact them to discuss this case, before legal action is taken against me at 314-328-6158. Called twice today, so far.(1/11/18)

I received a call at work from an unknown man with a foreign accent asking me if this was "First Last name". After I said "yes" he hung up. The room he was calling from sounded loud like a lot of people were making phone calls. The number that called me was 913-851-3464. I tried to call the number back and it just rang with no one answering. I was not thinking it was a scam call because the call came to my work line and I am asked my name a lot. This call was definitely not work related.

I received a call from 404 639 5025 on my work phone number. I said my usual greeting, then the person just said “my name”, I said “yes”, then they hung up. I tried calling the number back and it was listed as a non-working number with the CDC. I saw a report where they are getting people to say “yes” when they pick up the phone, later using that info to try and confirm that you “purchased” something and owe them money. Unfortunately I did it. Don’t know if this is the case, but it was certainly suspicious.

I received a text saying... Congrats! Your loan has been approved.Call (206)596-0991 to process your application.they ask for $175.00 security deposit.then I would receive 3,000.00 instantly .. he spoke with a thick accent that was difficult to understand.

The woman says I was approved for a non repay government grant and I was supposed to call this number 646-357-1701 and give the accounts officer this approval code # Approval ID GG4018.

Haven't heard of nothing like this and I DID NOT call .. Is it legit. Or not. Please let me know. Thank you

I received a call from a Denver area code. I answered and it was a pre-recorded message saying something about a credit offer. It said press "1" to speak to an operator about the offer. I wanted to be added to the do not call list, so I pressed "1". A man with an Indian accent answered, and asked if I wanted to hear more about the offer. I said "no, I would like to be added to your Do Not Call list". He asked what my name was, and I simply said my first name only. I was about to hang up, and he asked if I would pray for his father, who was becoming paralyzed. Of course I said yes, I will. He said thank you, and that was the end of the call.

I am now hearing about voice recording scams, so, just in case, I wanted to put this out here.

Got a call with my name said in a computer generated format that indicated I haven't responded to a legal claim for file #..... and then the computer didn't say any number... and asked to call them back immediately to prevent legal action on the pending lawsuit. This is the second call and I am not a party of any law suit.
