i was approached by an Instagram account diamondcollectors run by Shahid Hamid if i wanted to buy some merchandise (funko pops), we talked over it's messaging system about purchasing those items at what was a sensational deal that turned out to be way too good to be true in the end. i was asked to send money through paypal with friends and family and i thought nothing of it at the time thinking paypal was safe no matter what but as i found out latter transferring money that way does not protect you from purchases like you will be from goods and services and that's one of the ways this scam works. he sent a screenshot of a packaged box a shipping label after we made our deals then promptly joked about me being scammed i didn't think anything of it just a little jab about the deals i got. days latter the box arrived with only one of the items i ordered and all of much lesser value i figured it was just a mix up but after contacting him about it he tried to put me off for more then a day and refused any kind of a return or compromise, so i scrolled up to screenshot the being scammed joke and found it to be gone then a friend told me that people can delete messages on Instagram with no evidence of it being done so anything we said can be altered to his benefit. upon discovering this i tried to take a few screenshots as evidence before our conversations got out of hand and i had nothing at all to prove what happened. so beware if this person and this so called business he also has another person who runs a Facebook market place version of diamondcollectors only under Omar Hamid
