Advertisement appeared on news homepage about free trail for amazing skin product as seen on Shark Tank. I clicked on it. In hind sight there was no company name or info about them. There were no less than 5 "Free Trail Click here" boxes amongst the advertising copy and pictures, and a big "ticker" at the top saying they were almost out. Clicked on one and got another full page of the same with a box in the top 1/3 to enter name, address, .... enter, and I was taken to a page to pay $4.94 S/H. The total to my MC Debit card (Feb 21 was 3 charges totaling just under $35. Email the next day said my order had shipped. It arrived, oddly with a stark packing list, no company name, ... Product was in small sample sizes. Mar 7 they debited 89.94, March 8 debited 84.97. Couldn't get the 3rd. No $$$. March 9,my acct is overdrawn. Not by my records. Call bank, I have $400 balance. Mar 15 I log on and view my account and see the debits. No email from them, or any correspondence. I'm totally lost as to why they debited my account. A little research (March 17) gets me their # 877-355-1693. Agent 128 tells me the first charges were for the 14 day trial period. And according to the Terms that I agreed to when I requested the free trial , or more accurately, the terms hidden 2 pages back in tiny print at the bottom of the page where I never was because of the distracting and coaching to the "click here now" buttons, and then whisked off that page, I had 14 days to cancel my (news to me) subscription. Since I had not cancelled I had been charged the $84.97 and $89.94 to "really" pay for the product I had received in the beginning. So she would cancel my subscription right then, and I would get an email confirming that, but no refund of those last 2 debits because I had the product. End of (her) story. So, it's March 18 and I have no email confirming she canceled my subscription. No shipment of new product for the last 2 debit payments. (She lied about those pmts going for the original shipment). My bank said I had no recourse with them. So the canceled debit card is $15. The OD fee is $25. $84.97 & $89.94 gone. And I really don't do all that face cream stuff. My husband had encouraged me to get into this because he had seen Shark Tank the Friday night before. They were deceptive in their business practices. And while their 6 pages of Term and Conditions may be by the letter of the law (in a dark hole) their intent of the law is an unfair business practice that needs to be shut down by the Feds as Interstate mail fraud (?) or something I hope. I intend to Call, write, email, call and not give up on recovery of my $$$ and self respect. I hope you can act to prevent others this pain and robbery.
