Looking for a small RV thru FB Marketplace. Actually found a couple of "great deals" @ the same place: Diamond Camping and Travel Center. Living a few hours away, I thought this might be a good place to shop in person. I sent a FB message about the camper & was directed to email the 'owner'. I thought the products & prices were unbelievable! They are!!!! She contacted me about her sad story (husband passed away, bad memories, moved to Maine) and wanted it sold ASAP, and even sent extra pictures. Asked for my name, #, and address to have eBay establish me as the buyer. Only eBay services, to 'protect us both'. Then I saw that she owned BOTH vehicles I was interested in, BUT she emailed me that the vehicles had been moved from CA all the way to Maine, so I couldn't see them. But they would be delivered free & eBay would "hold" the payment for 5 days after delivery to ensure I was happy with the deal. NO WAY, WARNING: all of the ads/products should be avoided Thankfully I did not send any money, up to $2,200. Hope 'she's' not working to steal my identity also.

This company does not exist and apparently tries to sell RV's etc for gift cards...the prices are too low and nobody answers phone. The address is an apartment and other people claim to have driven out to company and seen sign warning it is a scam.

I just got the same email back from the Rhonda lady same exact wording. I informed her that due to scams and the great price I’d like to go down and see the trailer in person and pay the dealership who would then pay her like normal services would do and she never responded back to me. She also wanted my name number email and zip code to inform eBay I was her potential buyer. Tried to call this diamond camping place and both numbers don’t work. 1 just kept saying enter the extension or hold for transfer then it would just repeat it on a loop till you hang up. The other number is a constant beep beep beep like it’s busy line. I tried to call 4 times just incase they were busy but it’s 10am on a Tuesday so I don’t think they are an hour long on the phone kind of busy.

I inquired about an rv listed, was directed to contact owner who said husband died, her and child used to camp with him, wants to sell TV, too sad. Said item stored in a garage by ebay, sent a "ebay money back guarentee invoice #15399696011" stating I need to purchase ebay cards for the amount, scratch and give numbers on card to "ebay", they will ship the item to me. Said gives 5 days to inspect, if satisfied ebay will forward the money to her, if not satisfied money will be returned to me. Sent an "invoice" that looks real from "ebay" outlines what to do step by step. Has a customer service number 1 408 614-7289. I called and he said he's an ebay employee, been there 20 plus years, this is all real. I informed ebay, tried to inform comcast, informed market place admin, and still seeing more rv's listed, same scenario, same numbers.

Same scenario different day. Different RV. Wants me to buy Ebay cards to pay for it and call them with the amounts after I scratch off the cards.
Seller Rhonda V Mathis. Call Ebay 408-384-9621 to process payment. (Not really Ebay)

I just inquired about a camper trailer as well on Facebook Market Place and got the same story as mentioned above except not the Ebay information. I have reported the advertisement to Facebook. The dealership and owner are scam artists. The supposed owner is Rhonda V Mathis. The email of the supposed owner is [email protected].

This is the exact email I received.

Hello!
I am the owner of the 1987 Scamp Travel Trailer. I had it advertised nationwide through Facebook Marketplace. It is still available for sale. It is in great shape. It has no damage, no scratches, dents or hidden defects. It is in immaculate condition, meticulously maintained. It has a clean title.
This is a Solar-Off-Grid-Deluxe Nerd's Dream Machine that has all geeky convenient gadgets and functionality possible! Very light and easy to tow! Lots of clearance for towing off road. The electrical system has been engineered safely/automatically stay charged by Solar/Car Alternator/120v Shore Power. Kitchen table converts to bed. Very comfortable.
I am selling it at this final price of $2,000 because my husband passed away last month and it brings me a lot of bad memories and that’s the reason I want to sell it asap... I also got a new job and moved to Augusta, ME and many other things have priority now so it has to go. I attached you some photos. I want to use eBay Services for both our safety, so if you're interested in purchasing this travel trailer just email me your full name, address including the zip code and phone number. I will inform eBay that you are selected as my possible buyer and they will contact you to explain the entire procedure.
I look forward to your answer.
Thank you"
