I was contacted by the company and a person claiming to be a recruiter. I was asked to put the contact into my ZOOM account and then begin an interview. I started on Mon, yesterday. I was told I would receive a check in the mail to purchase all equipment and then completed an assignment. Then today I was told the FEDEX check wasn't able to get through and they would email me a check. I called the bank and talked with a assistant there to see if the check was legate. She could verify that but we did talk for a few minutes and she told me to go with my gut feeling. I am sure this is a scam. I am going in to block all contact with this person right now.

I was emailed about a job offer and was then told to add the email address to zoom. I was told that the conversation and interview would be conducted via zoom instant messaging. After the back-and-forth communication, I was sent another email with the job details stating that I would also need to buy equipment to set up my home office and they would provide me with the money in the coming days if I was hired. They then told me, after I answered questions that I was hired and I would start Monday morning with the training. Thankfully, I contacted the relevant people before I continued any conversation and they verified this was indeed not a job offer coming through from their company and I therefore blocked every contact and email and did not proceed with any further communication with them.
