Scammer had lots of information sent over about how to care for pet, good fit, etc. sent a text to ensure phone target’s number was real. Phone number by name of “Brad”. Showed multiple images of desired cat. See images for more things they sent over to bait you.

Bought a Devon Rex cat for $960 via Zelle. Was contacted by their courier service, Expressway Network, and told that the cat required a different carrier. The deposit was $1400, and 98.5% would be refunded to me upon delivery. I couldn't pay via Zelle, so I tried via Moneygram. Moneygram cancelled the transfer, so since they wouldn't accept a credit card or check, they asked for Walmart Gift Cards. I feel so stupid. I sent them the info and the courier came back saying that one didn't go thru and wanted a replacement. I checked with Walmart and they said it had been redeemed. I told them i wasn't going to send anymore money and to return the cat and asked both for the courier and Breeder to send back my money. Neither have responded.

I was VERY insecure about the purchase of a live animal online and made that clear. He(“Brad”) had an answer for EVERY one of my “trick” questions - he was able to send me live video, provided me with his personal address and tracking information.

It was not until I looked up the shipping company did my gut start to really wrench, and I realized it was another scam.
