I was approached about having submitted to a clerical position via Linkdn. I was told to download the RingCentral app to conduct a none call interview, in which the next day I was given a job offer. Very official pdf, with a full breakdown of the pay, duties, how and when. Quite legit, might I say. Cc’d the hr department on these emails as well. This recruiter goes my Marie Garcia from Detar Healthcare, which is an actual company but they are pretending to be part of this company.

After accepting the offer the they sent a check via email for “equipment” needed for the position. Which made me suspicious as why would they send me money before doing any duties or training. The check looks legit enough, numbers matching and everything but the check had a different company on it- in which I directly contacted them and said they had received calls from a few others that day.

Anyways, they did a pretty good scam though I was suspicious soon as I got the job offer and was curious how they would go about the next steps
