Received phone call from Steven W***** who indicated he was calling from Social Security Head Quarters, federal ID number AS223005, telephone number ###-###-####, case file number CR 746091.He indicated the someone had been charging on my credit cards and that a car was found in San Antonio, Tx at the border with 22 pounds of cocaine and that I was being charged with drug trafficking and money laundering. He also stated if I didn't pick option one to prove that I was innocent that all my bank accounts and social security account would be frozen; he stated he could help me get a new social security card. He ask me to verify my address, date of birth and last 4 of social security number. He then stated he would like for me to speak with OIG who could assist me in this matter. I spoke to a Mr. Logan W******* federal ID 11049227 and telephone number ###-###-####. As he was explaining the process, I proceeded to tell him i am a federal employee and do not participate in these types of activities. This call really had me frighten, they stated i had a warrant out for my arrest and if I didn't cooperate the police would be coming to my door. I was asked how many people are in my household and even gave them my e-mail address. Mr. W******* heard my husband/daughter in the background saying this is a scam, he wanted to know who was talking because he could not identify the individuals, I asked him to let me call him back, he said ok. I called Mr. W******* Number recording not connected and Mr. W***** number said you could leave a voice mail. These telephone numbers are attached to any company. I just hope my identity has not been compromised.
