I received a Letter, dated, September 21, 2021, from Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service. They were claiming I had a Recovery Rebate Credit on my 2020 taxes. I called 800-829-0922, to find out what this was about. I got a recording asking for my Social Security Number, not thinking I gave it to them. I pressed 1 for English, I pressed 1 for notice received, I pressed 3 to speak to a representative. I was told the IRS didn't have time and to call again later or another day. I have not tried to call anymore. I felt something was not right after I gave them my SS number.
