A man named Joe Conwell called saying that he was with the Department of Legal Affairs/US Treasury and that there was an important matter that he needed to discuss. He then said that my 2014 tax return had been filed wrong and that I owe the government money. He told me that there was a warrant out for my arrest and that a police officer would come to my work(he never asked/stated where I work or the address) and verify my identity and then arrest me. He asked if I had an attorney which I said yes to and proceeded to inquire further what the legal case against me was. He continued to explain and say that they tried several times to contact me and in failing to reach me,they will now pursue me legally. He continued to say that if I lose the case,then I would owe more than the $3,000 some odd dollars he initially said I owed. He said I would owe upwards of $30,000 if I lost the case. This shook me so I put my foot down and asked if he needed my attorney's information,which I gave him. He never asked for my social security number or try to take payment over the phone.
