I accepted a phone call from what Caller ID said to be Dell Support Services -- they said my software warranty was up --I spoke with the man for a while & info they gave me about my computer was not correct. I did let them route me to info on my computer -- but I then said I would call them back.

I looked up my original Technical support phone # from Dell -- and when talking with them, they told me the person was a scammer. I turned off my computer completely, and have since turned it back on & run antivirus program-- with clean scan.

I feel bad that I was suckered into answering my phone because I do have a Dell computer. He told me they had earlier sent error messages & e-mails to me about the software warranty needed extended.
