I don’t know how this company got my information, but is was my CashApp debit card which is generally locked when not in use, but I got a notification that a purchase had been made and I was at home watching TV with my wallet on my nightstand. I immediately checked the CashApp app and sure enough there was an attempted purchase pending, so I checked to see if it was locked and it wasn’t so I immediately locked it and contacted CashApp. I was told the only way they can dispute it is if the transaction is completed, however if I contact the merchant and they cancel it on their end the money would automatically be refunded. However while on the chat with CashApp a second transaction was attempted, but this time Prime Home Tech Store, DEF Berry Company LLC. Different store name, same parent company, luckily my card was still locked. Those two transactions were within minutes of each other. But it didn’t end there, Leather Goods Haven attempted another transaction yesterday. These companies are bogus they have the same parent company, same address, and same Fulfillment Center address; neither site lists a phone number and both use CS@(sitename).com as their email.

I emailed the Leather Goods Haven while the first transaction that started the whole debacle per CashApp’s recommendation, but never heard back from them. I waited for the transaction to be completed and reached back out to CashApp to dispute the transaction and now it’s a waiting game. So if you have CashApp or any card with a RFID chip keep it locked unless you are using it and check the equipment where you insert your card, etc. look for anything that looks suspicious, hackers and identity thieves are getting smarter by the day. BE VIGILANT!!
