I was offered an office manager position with this "company" via email. In the email, "Darren Altman" advised that my duties would be setting up an office out here in Orlando as the company would be expanding outside of Canada where they are based, and my duties would be to purchase office supplies with a "check" he would send to me via mail for the new office location in downtown Orlando. Some of the perks offered were bi-weekly of 2,500.00 and 65,000.00 annually, alongside vacation and bonuses. When myself and my wife attempted to look up information about this "company" outside of their website (which is really vague in nature in regards to exactly what the company offers services wise,) no other information could be obtained. There are zero reviews from consumers and /or employees. On 11/7/2020, "Darren" called me back to "touch bases" with me in regards to the position and to tell me when he'd be sending the check via mail. I told him that when I was researching the company, I did not find any information on him nor the company described. No reviews... Nothing tangible to go off of to ensure this company was not a fraud. He told me "It is a real company." I then asked him: "Do you know how long it takes to trace a call?" His response was: "I do not know so why would you ask?" I replied: "The area code you are calling from you can clearly see you are not calling from there." He then became upset and said: "Ok STUPID!!" And abruptly hung up.
