Deed Transfer Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

I received an official looking piece of mail from PROPERTY RECORDS OFFICE indicating that I had a recent deed transfer and to obtain a copy it will cost me $89.00 . It is completely deceptive. This is not a government organization and is impersonating one. The envelope and the insert are in official looking government style correspondence. The heading is Property Records Office, and all my property information is listed as if it was coming from a government agency. Since title transfers of property are very confusing and deeds are not received sometimes for many months after purchase it is very easy to believe that you must pay to receive a deed. The mailing states that the document I receive will identify me as the owner.

The entire parcel is extremely deceptive and there is no reason to try to duplicate a government correspondence other than deception. This company should not be permitted to exist and prey on unsuspecting new homeowners.
