I was contacted by email from Dave Campbell at Bluebird Asset Management to ask if I wanted to sell my timeshare in Mexico. I sent them information about the time share and they followed up with a potential buyer for $85,000. Since the property, Hacienda Encantada, has an upgrade value of $178,000, the offer seemed reasonable. They sent me an Account Opening Request for citibanamex. I returned the form as requested, but I blanked out the driver's license numbers. The escrow service was identified as Deed Escrow Services in New York, and my officer's name was Denise Williamson. Since I returned the form I have unable to contact them by either email or phone.

I had exactly the same scenario: Contacted by Richard Collins from Bluebird Asset Management and asked if I wanted to sell my Diamond Resorts Timeshare. This is a multi-resort points membership but their focus was on the Cabo Azure resort in Jose San Cabo Mexico. I sent them some basic information about the membership followed by an offer by a potential buyer for $80,000. They sent me a letter of intent that I had my attorney review who advised this was not a purchase offer. I pressed for a purchase offer but was immediately switched to engage with Deed Escrow Services in which I was contacted by Denise Williamson at 3123 Ann Street Baldwin, New York 11510... Sound familiar? Denise called me and requested I fill out and submit the Account Opening Request from Citibanamex which included copy of a Driver's license or Passport. You need to be extremely careful as these documents contain Personal Identifiable information (PII). They aren't interested in the Driver's License number but address and date of birth. This can be used to complete PII information they might already possess or to create fake ID's. So I performed by own due diligence and found your Scam Report plus other observations I found listed below. I confronted Richard Collins at Bluebird and never got a response back... BUSTED! I never submitted any completed forms or documents with PII information. Always investigate who you are dealing with especially when they are requesting PII details. I hope others find this useful.

#2 The Escrow company address on the Welcome Letter is a personal residence. There are about 6 other companies registered in New York State at this same address.

#3 Could not find this company listed on the Better Business Bureau web site or any online phone book listings

#4 the Citibanamex logo on the Account Opening Request form is a low resolution graphic that has been pasted in. This to me would not be how Citigroup in Mexico would represent themselves.
