Recently myself and family members received voicemails from unknown numbers claiming they received “multiple complaints” and are doing and investigation, and that I need to contact them immediately. They provide a case number - which is not a legitimate court case number. They threaten to “file paperwork on Monday” but don’t even tell you from who or why. I felt this was a scam and told them as such and they hung up. I did but provide them with any personal information, but they claimed to be an arbitration company ostensibly trying to get a pay out. I’ve received multiple iterations of this same scam, intimidating me and my family.
