they sent an email saying that they were a debt collector for telus wireline. they said that i owed $486.96 on a debt that was sent to collections, but if i paid before Dec 31, it would be reduced to $170. I called them to find out more info and had to leave a voice mail because it seemed to be legit. i then proceeded to call telus directly and gave them the acct number that was included in the email. telus said the acct number was old and no longer in use and that it was not my name associated with the account.
