It was a female by the name of Cynthia Washington. She stated that she was calling from Mediation Account Center about a debt that I owed from 2015. I requested information on the debt, but she would not comply. She had my full SSN, DOB, DL number and other information. I followed up with the institutions that she claimed were filing the order to garnish my wages if I did not pay, and they have no record of this so called debt and verified that the bank account in question was closed in 2011 and there was no money owed at any point. She would not furnish call recordings or a direct email from her just an email to their director, but it was not a named email. The doc that they provided has no real acknowledgement of any debt. She repeatedly threatened me with criminal and civil repercussions if not paid. I told her that I wanted to follow up with the "debtors" myself and she was extremely hostile and tried to get me to just pay.

I did not pay anything and was able to substantiate my feeling that it was a scam. I am very uncomfortable that they had all of my personal information and would like criminal action taken. I have attached the doc that they supplied me. The account numbers that they listed did not exist and never did.
