A telephone scammer with the name "David Grey" from the Treasury Department calls today 3/23/2016 at 1:47 and leaves a voicemail message which says that this is my final notice for appearing before a Federal Grand Jury regarding a criminal matter. He requested a callback at (856)295-0044 "so that we can help you" I will not be calling this number back.

Received two phone calls today from a "David Grey" demanding that I call the phone number given in his message and that I cooperate with the IRS and go before a magistrate etc. First time I hung up before the message finished. The second call I let go to the answering machine so it would be recorded.

A man named "David Grey" called and talked about tax evasion and that if I didn't call it would be a criminal offence. Thinking this was true, I gave them my name and home address and fear that they may use that information for other endeavours that may lead to me, or any of my family, being in further danger.

I received an automated call from someone claiming to be David Grey and said I needed to call him at a specific number. He said he was from the treasury department. I suspected a scam and checked the internet and confirmed this is a scam. I did not call the number provided.

David Grey called stating that there are Treasury Department charges against me and that if I ignore the message, that I will be breaking the law. David also states that I need to appear before a magistrate or grand jury. David said that I needed to call him back at 754/212-0394.

Message was left from a David Grey stating that I owed the IRS money from 2010 taxes that were done incorrect. The number was 206 900 9217. When I called it back the man said I owed a large sum of money and when I asked for him to send me the paperwork showing that he hung up on me.

I received the following voice message from a person with a heavy accent.

Hi, my name is David Grey and this message is intended to contact you regarding an enforcement action executed by the United State Treasury intending a serious attention. Ignoring this will be will be an intentional second attempt to avoid an initial appearance before a Magistrate Judge or a Grand Jury for a federate criminal offence.

My number is 352-561-2042. I repeat 352-561-2042.

I advise you to call straight with us.

The voicemail left by the scammer stated his name was David Grey and this was a second notice of an enforcement action by the US Treasury. Ignoring it would result in being brought before a federal magistrate or Grand Jury. He asked for me to call him at 209-227-1542. The call came in on Nov 6th the caller ID showed Stockton CA and the same number he gave. Also of note he spoke with an unidentifiable accent.

I did not return the phone call so his ultimate purpose is unknown.

Victim received phone call from David Grey, who informed her that she owned a substantial amount of money. Legal action would be taken if she did not respond immediately. He called her three times and left a voicemail on her answering machine.
