Darlene Thorondsen (page admin) was contact by my wife asking for a reputable seller of Bernese mountain dogs. Darlene Facebook messaged my wife that she had 2 females and 1 male puppy for sale. Skeptical of fraud, my wife and I asked questions via Facebook messages and answers seemed legitimate including a video of the puppy. We sent $400.00 via Zelle as a deposit with a pickup date of 14 Oct 2022.

Contact was signed and sent between Darlene and my wife. About 20 minutes after receiving the contact Darlene requested “$300.00, make it $500.00 so I don’t have to bother you anymore until you pickup the puppy for microchip and last vet visit”. The request seemed fish. We looked on the internet for the address that was provided on the contract which showed up as a house that was for sale. The fireplace that is in the pictures of the house did not match the videos and pics we received from Darlene. My wife requested a refund. The response from Darlene was “so you want a refund?” My wife was then blocked from the Facebook site and no response since.
