I was offered employment after an interview which lasted about an hour. So, it seemed to be a genuine offer. I was told training will start the next day and she will assign a trainer. Interviewer was Hiring Manager, her name was Megan Poole. The next day I received an e mail from email ID [email protected] by a person named Darius Norman at 06.14 hrs EDT. He sent me documents to fill and sign.... I-9, Direct deposit authorization, background check authorization, He started as if starting training session and said will receive lap top and apple iPhone etc, offer letter with wages as $20 during training of two weeks and then $35 per hour. He said if you make payments to vendor, we shall reimburse you immediately. And, he asked me for a screen shot of my credit card. And then asked me to purchase two apple pay cards of $500, he prompted me to go to CVS or 7/11 to buy these cards. I refused. I told him, let the vendor supply equipment, I will make payment after receiving the equipment. He said no you must by apple pay cards. It was then Is sensed it is a fraud and attempt to scam me. I blocked both Megan Poole and Darius Norman to whom I had given access to my MS Teams. And reported scam to SSN authorities and to BBB. They said they are located in Fond du Lac, WI but I can find no such address or company.
