In December 2016, I signed up online for a free sample of an anti-aging serum and Belle Epoque eye cream, for which I had to pay shipping charges only. To my surprise a $99.01 charge showed up on my credit card. The credit card company disputed and removed the charge as fraud.

Yesterday, I received a notice attempting to collect a debt in the amount of $99.01. The collection letter states:

Current Creditor Name: DAR Waterfront

Credit at Charge off Name: Belle Epoque

Balance Due: $99.01

Previous Account#: 2277874

Current Account#: 10097299

I tried to call the DAR Waterfront co. but only got voicemail and no option to talk to a representative. I am disputing the validity of this debt in writing to them.
