I was looking to purchase a reasonably priced puppy for my new home. I contacted the business via their contact us form on their website. I received additional photo and even a video of the puppy. I filled out their questionnaire as requested and sent them a $600 payment for the dog and $140 for shipping because the pup was coming from Oregon. There was consistent contact. We even signed an transfer rights agreement. The day the puppy was supposed to be shipped I get confirmation email from universal pet courier whom the seller confirmed was the shipping company. After receiving an email later that night asking me to pay $1360 for mandatory insurance I reached back out to dappleminidachshunds n they said the fee was accurate. I advised that this information had never even been presented to me before and if I had I wouldn't had agreed to the purchased. They then threaten me to accuse me of pet abandonment. So I told them to go ahead and I will consult with a lawyer and I wanted my money back. I never heard from them again. I reported the charge with my bank but they indicated it was lost since it had already cleared.
