I found their website when I was searching online to buy some lights for my home. I made a purchase on their website and paid through PayPal, as it was the only payment method available on the site. I never received my order, and never received any kind of communication from the seller either. I filed a claim through PayPal to try to get my money back, PayPal contacted the seller, and the seller provided a UPS tracking number showing that the package was delivered. PayPal then closed the case in the seller's favor. I checked the tracking number on the UPS website, it only showed the delivery city, which matched my city, but it didn't show the exact address the package was delivered to. I called UPS and a representative confirmed that the package was not delivered to my address. I then got this information in writing in the form of an email from UPS, and used it to file an appeal of my case with PayPal. Eventually PayPal refunded my money. During this process, I also checked online to see if anyone else has come across the same scam, and found a few news articles where other people were scammed the same way. They never received their order, but the seller was able to provide valid UPS/USPS tracking numbers, and PayPal would close the case in the seller's favor. Some of these people eventually got their money back, some didn't. It looks like the scammers somehow had access to UPS/USPS tracking number databases, because they could find ones that matched the delivery city and delivery date, and that's all they had to provide to PayPal to get the case closed in their favor. In my case, the UPS representative told me that the tracking number was associated with an Amazon package which was delivered to an Amazon locker in my city. So how did the seller/scammer get this tracking number? I also feel that PayPal is at least partially responsible for people falling victim to this scam by not requiring more information from the seller, like a copy of the shipping label that would show the exact delivery address.
