Hi, a company called Hudson River Foods acquired a Boston-based brand, Dancing Deer Baking Co., in 2019 and I'm not sure if it's entirely a shell or just a shell of its former self but it seems that Dancing Deer now routinely takes orders (and charges customers) without delivering what was ordered. The parent company, Hudson River Group, has been completely unresponsive to me (I was long a customer of Dancing Deer before the pandemic and did not realize the company had changed hands). I am seeing the same thing has happened to many customers of the company; they write and they call and nothing happens and their orders are never delivered. The CEO of Hudson River is D R, per LinkedIn. The company lists a bogus email address ([email protected]) on its contact page. No one answers the phone. If you check out its Yelp page, you will see that customers loved this company prior to its acquisition. Post-acquisition, there appear dozens of one-star reviews from frustrated customers who, like me, learned the hard way that though the website looks the same, this has now become a scam site. https://www.yelp.com/biz/dancing-deer-baking-hyde-park-3.
