Guy says he wants to buy my used car and contacts me via text. Says he has “cash in hand.” Wants a vehicle report but doesn’t like the CARFAX report I sent him. Claims it doesn’t have all the information this other site provides. I tried to call the phone he used to text me but the guy never answers, even when I ring him right after receiving a text from him. The website looks legit but has too many American terms for it be Canadian. Nor does the site’s sample report include anything more than a CARFAX report.

Text in response to ad for boat slip sale. Wouldn’t respond to my question about how he heard about it. “Dan” wanted a picture. This was then his reply. “OK. I propose payment for the Boat slip and payment will be issued out to you by my client with a Cashiers check for an excess amount which will include the shipping amount of the Boat slip as I have a shipping agency that will take care of the shipping to my destination. As soon as you receive the payment you will deduct the amount for your Boat slip and transfer the excess funds to the shipping agency so that they can come for pick up location. I will need your full name and full mailing address so that payment can be mailed out to you. Regards, Dan”

Obviously a scam since you can’t ship a boat slip.
