I was contacted through email and text about a customer service position I applied to on indeed for serverhub. I was contacted through email looked about right has the business name in the email and hr all at the bottom professional looking no errors in communication. Asked the basic customer service questions any other interviewer has done and offered a job. Then told the equipment I needed for the job which cost would be covered by them. When I got suspicious is when they said I would purchase the items with the check they send me. I’ve been working from home for years a few different legit work at home jobs. Two was bring your own device and one provided the computer never did any send me a check to buy equipment. I didn’t dare try it either so I don’t end up in jail because of a scam I wasn’t aware of. I had been texting the lady because she asked if I received the check and to deposit it. I asked where the company is located the phone number for the company. She never answered for the phone number and of course said we all work from home there is no business address. That right there let’s me know it’s a scam because I’ve had three work at home jobs and yes we all worked from home but they also had a phone number and address for the business regardless of working from home. The number she texted me on was 571-581-2146. The email was [email protected]
