Cv. Twin Brothers group Reports & Reviews (3)

This flaming p.o.s. got me with a car report scam. It only cost me $26 dollars, hoping he doesn't do anything else. He used a lot of weird stock responses and was extremely pushy. Would not take a report from bumper or carfax. His words, "no no i dont want bumper". He opened up the dms with "hey, still have nissan". Honestly don't know how I fell for this [censored]. The website he used is called vinvehichlereports.com. I payed with PayPal, not sure if the website is real, but I assume it isn't run by cv. Twin brothers group. The profile picture for their PayPal looks like [censored]. Hope this guy falls off a building.

They want (under the name of Alex Brian) a report for a vehicle before to buy(as they said) and to pay at registeryourvin.com but once I paid, I received a kind of report but billed to a company Cv Twin brothers group which is a scam. They said their phone is 4318008725 and their fake email [email protected]. Once I got my bill from the transcaction it showed everything I just wrote and another person on the site reported it also. Dont pay to get that report of vehicle. There is a note on the site of the FTC: Consumer Education Specialist, FTC
The FTC has been hearing about a new scam targeting people who are selling their cars online. They’re getting calls or texts from people who claim to be interested in buying the car – but first want to see a car history report. They ask the seller to get the report from a specific website, where the seller needs to enter some information and pay about $20 by credit card for the report. The seller then sends it to the supposed buyer but never hears back. Weird, huh? (https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/2018/10/steering-clear-vehicle-history-report... It is so sad to see dishonest people like that and hope they ll get arrested.

I posted an ad on craigslist selling my car and was contacted by text by a potential buyer, with a request for a Vehicle Inspection Report. Seems simple enough! The contact introduced himself as "Roger" and set up a time to meet, saying that I could purchase a report through registeryourvin.com.

Foolishly, I went through the website out of convenience and I paid the amount, and did not receive the report -- only was redirected to a page with a "report" only displaying blank fields with no information. I have purchased one before via insurance company and feel so silly for falling for this scam! Ugh!

After doing some searching online, I discovered that this is a common scam.

I looked at my transaction via paypal (after quickly changing my passwords and increasing account security), and noticed that the name of the company did not match anything on the website, and a quick google search brings up no results. I filed a claim through paypal.
