I went online to find a cat breeder. The one I found sent me an email regarding the cat I chose and how to proceed with the adoption. I then received a text message for further communication. I was told about cost for the cat as well as shipping fees. I had explained that I live close by and would rather pick up the kitten in person. We agreed on the day to meet. When the time came to pick up the kitten I was met at the door by a kind woman with a disappointed look on her face. She immediately asked me if I gave them any money. I told her no, because they kept insisting on my giving them money for shipping fees. She then explained that a girl had showed up, as I did, a few months back. The owner of the house isn't sure how these scammers chose her address but is growing very tired of having to give bad news to innocent people. The address I provided is of the womans house that the scammers are currently using.
