My husband was looking for places to purchase a beagle puppy for our family. He found this website and found a puppy we wanted to purchase. My husband filled out the form on the website that included his name, email, phone #, state, and which puppy we were interested in. My husband received a response from the website through phone text stating the puppy we are interested in is available for purchase. He said we would pay half the money for the puppy and half for the shipping through Zelle app, puppy was $600.00 and shipping was $150.00, so we were to pay $375.00 through Zelle and we would receive a reference number and tracking number for the plane flight of the puppy. On Thursday 8/27/20 we sent $375.00 through the zelle app to his email [email protected]. He wanted us to send a screen shot of the zelle payment, so we did and he confirmed he received the payment and when we asked for the reference number he kept asking for more info that didn't make sense to us, and we knew it was a scam. We were supposed to be getting the puppy on Saturday and when we contacted him he kept saying he needed a video recording screenshot of payment. We never heard from him again.

I contacted and texted with a person over several days and stated they were from Stevens Point, WI. They said a beagle puppy my daughter wanted was available and told me about her personality.  They offered to fly the puppy to us for $150. We said we would come and get it, and asked about the mother and father. They told us all about the mom.  I asked if AKC papers came with and they said yes. We were told the deposit was $400. and we would be on a wait list until we picked her up and that we are the only one on the list for her. We arranged to drive to Stevens Point and they stated a time of 11:00. I transferred the money through zelle (which I had never done before) and they replied "got it."  Now, looking back, there was no actual names on the website, no address, nothing set up and wording should have been a red flag. There were no people in the puppy pictures, no videos, no comments no last names or dates or pictures of puppies that had gone to a new home. A couple pictures on the site are not even beagles.... I should of paid better attention. I should of called and talked to the person first. ugh. I lost $400
