I received a text message offering jobs for mystery shoppers earning $300. I filled out a simple form with minimal details. Then about a week later I received a check for $1,850. There was no company name on the instruction sheet included with the check, only an email "surveyretail [email protected].

It seemed fishy so I looked them up on the national registrar for mystery shopper companies and they are not listed, plus the legit company said that they do not recruit via text.

I voided and ripped up the check...so I did not deposit it.
