I received a text stating that I had been selected as a secret shopper and that my first assignment package was in transit to my doorstep via Fedex with the instruction letter. I did receive a fedex which contained a letter titled customer service evaluation assignment and a check for $2,450. The instructions were to deduct my fee of $450 out and use the rest to purchase gift cards. Once the gift cards were purchased, I was to send them a picture of the front and back of the card and the receipt of purchase. The goal is to be secretive and not let the employee know that I am a secret shopper. The check is written from a bank in HI but the fedex came from an address in San Francisco. The check also came from a rental account and once I googled it, it shows that it is a property management company. I also noticed a misspelled word on the check. The person that has been communicating with me via text and name on the letter is Jimmy Warren. I also texted back and said that it was a scam and he responded that it was 100% legit. But there are also many different phone numbers.

Hello, I just received a FedEx envelope. It can with the same identical instructions. Same guy Jimmy Warren, Did the check ever clear and be an success? Thanks in advance.
