Last summer I was given a call from a male person claiming to be from the Inland company. He told me they were sampling a new tool line, and that I was eligible to receive free try out tools free of charge. I explained to him that we are a household moving and storage company that didn't use construction tools. He sends some drill bits that I've never seen before or used. I told him that I have no use for these drill bits and he says no charge. They are a complimentary gift. A few months lady a female person calls me and says ,I need to pay for the tool bits I ordered. I tried to explain to her that I never ordered these items , they were just sent to me. She told me I needed to pay $535.90 or it would go to collections. I tried to explain to her that I personally never ordered any of these items, so I have no use for them . I than asked her if she could send me the address so I can mail them back, she replied they don't take back tools. I tried to explain they've never been opened or used, but she kept hounding me about my credit card number. That was in November 2022. In March I had another threatening call , supposedly from the same company again with a totally different number wanting to collect $535.90 yet again. She also threatened my credit scores as well as my reputation . When I ask her for verifying information , she couldn't give me any. Today April 26, 2023 ,I get another threatening call from a total different number and she to wanted me to make the same payment of $535.90 . I asked for email verification so I knew whom I was talking to . She also told me she was limited on the information that she could share . I do have the last phone number as 720-715-0440. When I tried to call that number on my own , it just rang a few times and disconnected. I've been inquiring about this company and I found that they have a practice of this scamming behavior. With this letter that I'm writing to your agency, I would seriously want to see some results for this unnecessary bad business practices
