I have a special device on my phone to screen and block scammers but there was an incoming call from 919-371-5722 that was not detected. I received the call identified only as CS. I was told there were substantial "unclaimed funds" available in my name. They wanted me to give them $374 from my checking account and they would refund that amount as well as the 2 different areas where a combination of $3000+ and $9000+ were due to me from my father's passing. I was told once they had their service fee they would send me forms to complete to make my claim and at that point they would also deduct their standard percentage fees. I had provided my checking account info and then cancelled the account when I realized this was probably a scam. It was for them to take out their fees and then auto deposit the unclaimed funds. They did attempt the withdrawal which was denied. I could have lost a lot of money with my carelessness.
