I reached out to a Breeder (Michelle Hill - email: [email protected]) about a Maltese Puppy. She emailed me immediately and stated she had no puppies left and referred me to Crystal Phillips stating she had a male and female Maltese puppy and due to job constraints, she had to adopt them out. Michelle in writing stated all in cost would be $700. I reached out to Crystal immediately and she also noted all in cost would be $700. I asked for a Video and asked for a phone call and she states she could not do so for personal reasons (I won't mention here). ALL communications (over 125 emails now have been strictly through email). I was communication with Michelle and explaining Crystal could not send a video or call me and she assured me Crystal was trustworthy and a friend of hers and she would not have referred her to me otherwise. Long story short, I sent Crystal the deposit she required which was $350 via Paypal. She would get the remaining $350 once I had the male puppy, Mitch in my hands as he would be flown in to FL. Crystal finds out later that the cost is much greater than she and Michelle quoted me and wanted that to become my problem and insisted I pay more. I said I absolutely would not given the written quote she gave me and Michelle as well. The information she sent for the beginning stage of an Airway bill or something like that was not verifiable at all. She continue to insist for more money to send Mitch to us. I finally demanded she send me back the $350 which to this day, she has not done yet. She has the audacity to state that once she finds someone to take Mitch for $1400 that she will refund me. I explained to her that it is illegal for her to hold my money since she did not send me the Puppy, nor did I sign anything at all with her. We even considered thinking about it at some point, but I asked to see the last Vet Exam, the AKC registration, the paperwork she supposedly started to transfer Mitch into my name - she refused to send any of it, so naturally I start thinking this is a scam. Long story story, I found her on LinkedIn and after many requests before this last one, I asked her send me Mitch and we offered an additional $100 just out of the kindness of our hearts since it was a higher expense or asked she keep Mitch and refund our money. My first email with Michelle Hill was 7/22/22 and my first email with Crystal Phillips was 7/22/22. Crystal responded 7/22/22 and we have accumulated over 125+ emails with this foolishness. As I advised Crystal and Michelle, I gave this several weeks to no avail and I advised Crystal I would report this to every source possible until she returns our money to us!!!
